Something From Nothing

These days, we’re all running low on time. With work, school, friends and the like, we barely ever have a moment to ourselves. And, if we are gifted that little token of time, it’s sometimes hard for us to allow ourselves to enjoy it. When it comes to entertaining, I want the aura just right, but I don’t always have the time to spend on perfecting my environment. Through my hectic bustling schedule of never-ending responsibilities, I’ve learned just how crucial it is to create the look I want with minimal time and materials. It really is incredible what you can make out of some raw materials that wouldn’t necessarily classify as decorative. You don’t have to be an event planner or a designer to create an environment your friends will “ooh” and “ahh” over. Try to approach your household items with a more creative perspective. A scarf may work fabulously as a table cloth, coffee beans are excellent table decoration, you may even be able to wash out the contents of a mason jar and utilize it as a funky vase. When it comes to displaying food with taste, utilize your cookbooks as stands that raise your dishes slightly off the buffet table or place a mirror under the dishes next to some lit candles to brighten your look and add a bit of sparkle. Next time you have a little time to yourself, grab a few random household items and let your inner creativity run wild with you. You have all the items ready and waiting for you. Put on your new outlook, it’s the only new you need!

DESSERT FOR TWO

Wrap pretty ribbon around your champagne flutes or wine

glasses by overlapping each end to hold. Create a fabulous look without the designer cost!

Add some fun to a table design with sayings like: “BUON APPETITO”  or “Welcome Friends”.

…a dinner napkin for two: get intimate by tying two napkins by a singular knot.

Friends coming over? Well,…

Use odds and ends you find at home… buttons, ribbon, pearls to give a

touch of elegance to any table setting.

Use pearls to fill a crystal vase or give a fashionable look to a girls night.

Go through your holiday decorations to find glittery items to complete a center piece.

New York Marathon Party

Use cake risers, table wine racks, Martini Glasses to make an ordinary buffet table extraordinary.

Notice the table runner. We gave an extra special treat for our guests by blowing up the Marathon Map and using it as a table runner.

Much Love,
